The International Society Member (ISM) abstract slots, provided by Society for Neuroscience (SfN) and administered by the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO), offer international opportunities for submitting abstracts for Neuroscience 2025 and registering at the SfN member rate, benefiting individuals with limited resources to join the meeting and encouraging increased participation among under-resourced countries.

A definite number of interested participants – Master’s and PhD students, and postdoctoral fellows – will receive a unique code from IBRO on a first-come, first-served basis that they will subsequently use when submitting their abstracts. Following the abstract submission, individuals with ISM slot codes are recorded into SfN’s registration system and may then receive the benefit of registering at the meeting starting from 22 July 2025 at an SfN member rate.

The ISM slot applications will be awarded by IBRO on a first-come, first-served basis (with a limited number of codes available) and will be open from 8 May to 8 June 2025.

IBRO will assign ISM slots on a rolling basis every week during this application period, which will allow ISM slot recipients to submit their abstracts from 21 May to 4 June 2025 (5:00 PM EDT).
