3. Research field
The NIPS is an inter-university research institute in the field of basic medical science that aims to understand the functions and mechanisms of the human body. This position is open to researchers who aim to understand human brain function at the system level using brain imaging equipment (3 Tesla and 7 Tesla MRI scanners owned by NIPS). We call for applicants who have internationally significant achievements in the above research field and a willingness to contribute actively to the development of the relevant research community and the advanced education for young researchers.
  In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to actively engage in collaborative research with both domestic and overseas researchers, which is an important mission of the NIPS. As a faculty member of the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), the successful applicant will be in charge of graduate education.

5. Qualifications
Applicants should have a doctoral degree or equivalent research achievement.
6. Period of appointment
Five years. Renewable after a qualification review.
7. Treatment
Salary will be determined in accordance with the NINS’s payment standards. Other conditions will be determined as stipulated by NINS.
