Neuroscience Research is now Full Gold Open Access journal

As of January 1, 2024 Neuroscience Research has become a Gold Open Access journal with an article publication charge (APC). We are happy to announce there will be an APC discount for JNS members, please see below for more details.

How to receive a Society member discount for the NSR APC

When you submit your manuscript in the Editorial Manager (EM) system
At the time of submission, you will be asked to indicate your membership in the Japan Neuroscience Society in the EM. Please choose Yes to become eligible for the discounted APC if the paper is published.
Author confirming membership details when your manuscript is accepted
  1. After the article is accepted, Elsevier will send you a link to the Rights and Access form, at that time you will be asked to provide your membership information.
  2. The Society then receives a notification mail automatically sent by system and will approve or reject the society member discount request from you.
  3. If approved: you are invoiced at Society Discounted Price.
    If rejected: you are invoiced at full price.
