  Neuroscience Research (NSR), the official journal of the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS), will present “NSR Best Paper Award”, “NSR Excellent Paper Award”, and “NSR Highly Cited Paper Award” to papers accepted for publication in NSR. The recipients of the Awards may be of any nationality and JNS membership is not required. The papers eligible for selection will be considered without seeking application from authors. The supplementary prize of 1,000 euros (sponsored by Elsevier) will be awarded to the first author of "NSR Best Paper Award" paper.
The outline of NSR Paper Awards

NSR Best Paper Award One per year All original articles (Research Papers) accepted by NSR between January 1 and December 31 of each year. At the Annual Meeting of JNS, the award will be presented with supplementary prize of 1,000 euros and the awardee will deliver an award lecture.
NSR Excellent Paper Award One to three per year At the Annual Meeting of JNS, the award will be presented.
NSR Highly Cited Paper Award Three per year (but if there are ties for the citations, more than three papers may be awarded.) All citable papers published in NSR between January 1 and December 31 of each year.
“NSR Best Paper Award”, “NSR Excellent Paper Award” will be launched in 2022 for papers accepted in 2021, and “NSR Highly Cited Paper Award” will be launched in 2023 for papers published in 2019. We look forward to receiving many excellent papers.
