Postdoc in Circuit Development and Function
SUBJECT/LOCATION:
ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY, OPTOPHYSIOLOGY, CALCIUM OR VOLTAGE SENSITIVE IMAGING
CHILDREN’S NATIONAL MEDICAL CENTER, WASHINGTON, DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Efforts will include characterizing the neural and developmental mechanisms underlying the impaired cognitive behaviors in mouse models for neurodevelopmental disorders. This is an on-site position at The Center for Neuroscience Research at Children’s National Research Institute in Washington, D.C.
Qualifications:
Successful applicants should demonstrate an interest in quantitative electrophysiology and the development of brain-wide circuits.
PhD in neuroscience, biological sciences, biomedical engineering, or related field; or equivalent combination of degree and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience with ex-vivo or in-vivo patch clamp electrophysiology from mouse, macaque, or human brain slice preparations or brain recording methods.
