Openings for Postdoctoral Fellow or Program-Specific Faculty Member

The Department of Pharmacology (Yasunori Hayashi Lab), Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University studies the molecular mechanisms of synaptic plasticity and the neural circuitry mechanisms of memory consolidation. We are currently recruiting a postdoctoral fellow, or depending on the career stage, a program-specific faculty member. We welcome those who are willing to explore new analytical systems combining super-resolution microscopy, biochemistry, whole-cell recording, and rodent behavior.

Requirements
A doctoral degree (or in progress)
Research experience and accomplishments in the field of lifescience
Enthusiasm for exploring new analytical methods.
Collaborative attitude.

Terms of employment
Salary: Paid in accordance with the University's payment standards
Maximum 5 years, renewed annually.
Probation period: 6 months
Discretionary work system (38 hours and 45 minutes per week, 7 hours and 45 minutes per day)
Holidays: Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, year-end and New Year's holidays, the University anniversary, and summer holidays
Participating in the MEXT Mutual Aid Association, Employees' Pension Insurance, Employment Insurance and Workers' Accident Insurance
