The Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences, the Graduate School of Informatics (GSI) at Nagoya University, Japan, is pleased to invite applicants with strong background in experimental psychology for a full-time tenured Associate Professor position.

- Teaching obligations:
Graduate courses: Experimental Psychology, Seminar in Psychology, and other related classes.
Undergraduate courses: Upper division classes including Experimental Psychology, Seminar in Psychology, as well as lower division classes including Introductory Psychology.
- Qualifications:
Applicants must have:
(1) a Ph.D. in psychology or in related fields;
(2) capacities to teach classes indicated above at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to supervise students toward their theses at Doctorate (Ph.D.), Master’s (M.A.) and undergraduate (B.A.) levels;
(3) capacities to conduct research on perception, cognition, and behavior of humans and/or animals with methods in experimental psychology; Basic knowledge about cognitive neuroscience or statistical/cognitive modeling is desirable.
(4) capacities to conduct collaborative research with other members of the Department of Cognitive and Psychological Sciences;
(5) capacities toward achieving the missions of Nagoya University, such as establishing international research networks;
(6) basic ability of communication in Japanese.

(2) Reprints of three representative publications.
(3) Statements addressing future plans for research and teaching in approximately 1,200 words.
(4) The names, affiliations, and contact information of two persons for reference.
